1) Dr. Sneh Mohan, one of the promoters of the SAMAYA, is a M Phil & PhD in Physics, is a leading figure & member of many eminent Associations holding positions of responsibility.
She was Post Doctoral Fellow at IIT Delhi and Research Associate at Mc Gill University, Canada.
Dr. Mohan is a Fellow of Institution of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineers (IETE) and is a senior member of Computer Society of India (CSI). Currently, she is a Council Member of Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers and the Chairperson of the Information Technology and Computer Education Committee. Her present position is Executive director of Centre for Development & Technology Foundation (CDTF).
She is also responsible for organizing several National and International conferences, workshops and seminars in the field of Information Technology, Telecom, Energy, Environment , Research and Development and has published papers in National and International Journals.
Dr Mohan is involved in many rural development projects.
2) Dr. Iris Good, Ph.D. is the mentor of SAMAYA , who visualized & felt the need to create a company driven by professionals to introduce new technologies in India. Currently, Dr Good serves as its Global Business Head. Dr. Good has over 20 years experience in biochemistry, in both academia and the biotech industry. She is also involved in strategic and policy making projects for the Israeli Chief scientist and sits on several boards.
Dr Good divides her time between the UK, Israel and India. Her main strength is her ability to bridge science and business, together with her knowledge of international markets. She has been instrumental in organizing overseas funding for major Indian Multi Million US $ projects in India.
3) Mr. Jasbir Singh Kohli, has been associated with the Telecom Sector for the past 25 years and worked with Reliance for about 10 years and was part of Reliance’s core regulatory team which was instrumental in setting up Reliance’s Telecom Setup . As a director, Mr Kohli takes care of Samaya’s telecom & energy businesses.
With the expansion of business, the SAMAYA intends to take more directors on board.
4) Mr. Subodh Raheja (Vice President – Technical), one of the directors of SAMAYA, is M.Sc in Electronics, since 1992 is engaged in the renewable energy field
Engaged in (i) Design, develop and manufacturing of power conditioning products (e.g. inverters, UPS ) ii) Providing complete turnkey solutions from design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of solar power plants, solar pumping solutions & other solar applications (iii) Representing multinational companies engaged in the field of renewable energy in India such as Heart Interface; Xantrex ,USA; Outback Power, USA ; Blue Sky Energy, USA; Sun Pumps, USA; Blue Oaks, USA; GLOBAL SOLAR WATER PURIFICATION SYSTEMS INC., USA; etc (iv) Developing specialized equipment for Railways, Defence forces and international customers.
5) Dr. Dev Raj (Director – Technical), is one of the directors of SAMAYA, is an active member on our board (of directors) and a part of our sub-committee on renewable energy & new technologies.
Dr. Dev Raj is an IIT Engineering Graduate [Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering – University of Roorkee (IIT Roorkee), Uttaranchal], MBA & DMS with a deep technical knowledge specially in Solar Energy, Telecom and Process Industry [trained at Mitsubishi Electric for process engineering], good software skills and Six Sigma expertise with rich work experience in the field of Business Development and Production Processes all over the globe.
Dr Dev Raj has a good working relationship with MNRE and many North East government bodies and have active experience of liaisoning with them in various fields.
6) Mr. Rakesh Narula (Chief Economist), is senior Banker, based in Washington DC, USA, working with US EXIM Bank & Other International Financial Institutions & have arranged for major multi- Billion USD funding in the Telecom & Renewable Energy Sectors in India. Rakesh is an advisor to Service Providers & provides valuable inputs in the present DoT’s exercise of RET conversion of Telecom Sites, their Funding & its endeavor to have Bankable International Standards for RET Systems.
Rakesh is also the part of OutBack (Alfa Group, USA) top Management.
7) Mr. Ajay Nagrath (General Manager – Sales & Marketing), Mr Ajay Nagratn comes from a very old established Industrial family of India, who were pioneers in setting up Paint Industry in India and had been managing the family businesses of Construction & Mining ,with constant interaction with the Govt Departments, for Govt Contracts & Regulatory Approvals. He has been engaged with the telecom industry for past 20 years.
His family has also been instrumental in promoting telecom & energy industries in India with his sister’s company Meeraco providing the diesel generator sets & allied products for most of the telecom rollouts since 1995 and his first cousin Mr Arun Sarin , the former Global Head (CEO) of Vodafone Group Plc’s (headed Vodafone from 2003 to 2008) , being credited for unlocking the Indian Telecom potential by bring in world’s largest telco to India. Ajay is taking care of the Samaya’s Sales & Marketing with regular interaction with the Govt Departments & Private Operators.
8) Dr. Hari Mohan Gupta, is the mentor of SAMAYA, a PhD in Electrical Engineering; an eminent professor of Electrical Engineering .
Prof. H.M Gupta received B.E. (Electronics and Communications) from University of Roorkee (now IIT, Roorkee) , M. Tech. (UHF and Microwave Engineering) from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and Ph.D. (Electrical Engineering) from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
He joined the faculty of Electrical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi in 1973, where he is a professor since 1986.
Prof. Gupta held positions of Head of the Department, Dean (Undergraduate Studies), and Coordinator, Bharti School of Telecommunication Technology and Management at IIT, Delhi.
He held faculty positions at Mc Gill University, Montreal, Canada, and at Drexel University, Philadelphia, USA. He has been an academic visitor to University of Maryland, College Park, USA; Media Lab at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, USA; Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Lausanne, Switzerland and several British Universities. He has been Vice-President of System Society of India, and is a founding member of Association for Security of Information Systems (ASIS).
He is also President of Institution of Communication Engineers and Information Technologists (ICEIT).
9) Takuji Nakamae (Mr.) 中前拓治 (General Manager – Business Development & Operations), Has international sales & marketing experience of over 20 years ; he takes care of the Japanese Office & operations of Samaya Noa Japan Co,. Ltd. He is involved in development of business & operations in Japan .
